We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with our sexual abuse prevention and education program in Adams, Brown, Pike and Schuyler counties. The personal safety curriculum called “Happy Bear” by Sunflower House, involves an interactive play presented by a trained facilitator and a costumed volunteer. Presentations are given to children ages 4-7 and during the course of the play, children teach Happy Bear about welcome and unwelcome touches, personal safety zones, how to respond by saying NO and moving away, and who to tell if someone gives them an unwelcome touch. We are looking for people interested in giving the presentation and playing the role of Happy Bear.
