Advocacy Network for Children has been selected as a beneficiary for the month of April in the Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program that supports local non-profits.

The Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program, which launched in November 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where customers live and work.

Advocacy Network for Children was selected as the April beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hy-Vee located at 1400 Harrison Street, Quincy. Advocacy Network for Children will receive a $1.00 donation every time a $2.50 red “My Heart” Reusable Bag is purchased at this location during April, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

“We are very excited to be chosen as a recipient of these funds by our neighbors at Hy-Vee,” said Todd Shackelford, Executive Director of Advocacy Network for Children. “Funds received will help us in our mission to serve abused and neglected children here in our community.” Advocacy Network for Children provides two distinct and unique programs for abused and neglected children, the Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) and the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC).
