June 2022 News!

School is mostly out and summer is right around the corner. Summer is a wonderful time to reconnect with friends and family and make arrangements for staycations and trips. The Advocacy Network for Children hopes everyone has a safe and healthy summer. Our agency will still be hard at work providing forensic interviews, advocacy services, referrals to outside resources and CASA assistance and coordination for those in need. Bob Bergman Receives CASA Volunteer Award!

We are proud to announce that Bob Bergman was chosen to be one of the recipients of The President’s Volunteer Service Gold Awards.

During National Volunteer Month in March, Illinois CASA celebrated volunteer advocates across their network and thanked them for their service as volunteer advocates for children who have been abused and neglected. Bob has been a CASA volunteer for the agency for 16 years and has advocated for 21 children during that time. His passion for speaking on behalf of and helping these children is truly admirable. Bob is truly deserving of this award.

“Bob is willing to take the hardest cases. He is willing to jump in with no complaints. Bob thinks outside the box to help children succeed. He is a
prime example of what a volunteer for CASA is and should be.” – from nomination letter

For more information on the CASA program, please call Danielle Buss at 217-223-2272.
