Today is the day! The snow has melted, days are getting longer, and Spring is around the corner. It’s time to spruce up your yard by purchasing a yard sign as part of our fundraiser, Stand Against Child Abuse, to support Advocacy Network for Children! Purchasing a sign is just the beginning! Stay tuned to our web and Facebook pages for a chance to win a prize after the fundraiser while taking a stand with us and all the children and families in need of services!

Advocacy Network for Children will be selling yard signs beginning March 8th and running through April in various locations throughout its nine-county region. This event is aimed to bring awareness and raise money for the agency.

April is National Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month which recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect and promotes the social and emotional well-being of children and families. During the month of April, as well as throughout the year, communities are encouraged to increase awareness and provide education and support to families through resources and strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect.

You can show your support by purchasing a yard sign for $10.00 at the following locations:

In addition, signs will be available at the agency’s administrative office located at 1420 Harrison Street.

Advocacy Network for Children provides two distinct and unique programs for abused and neglected children, the Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) and the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC). In addition, a Prevention Program is available to area students in Pre-K through 5th grade. The heart of its mission is to protect and uphold the rights of abused or neglected children and to act as a powerful voice in these children’s
best interest.
