National Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is National Child Abuse Prevention month. Normally, we would have activities to raise awareness in each of our nine counties and unfortunately, this year we aren’t able to get together in support of all our partner agencies.

With schools being closed as a measure to limit the spread of COVID-19, and children participating in fewer social activities, there are concerns that many children may be exposed to additional possibilities of different kinds of abuse.

Please don’t forget that children still need help and protection. If you see something, say something.

Preventing child abuse and neglect starts with strengthening families. Learn more in the 2019/2020 Prevention Resource Guide. #NCAPM2020 #childabusepreventionmonth https://www.childwelfare.gov/topics/preventing/preventionmonth/resources/resource-guide/
