The Schuyler County Children’s Advocacy Center provides a safe, child-friendly setting for children and families involved in child abuse investigations.
Located in Rushville, the CAC is housed within the Schuyler County Mental Health office in a private area of the building with a separate outside entrance. The location provides a private and supportive environment for forensic interviews and coordination with members of the Multidisciplinary Team. The facility is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
CAC staff work alongside law enforcement, child protection, prosecutors, medical and mental health professionals, victim advocates, and other community partners to provide a coordinated response to allegations of child abuse.
Families receive support throughout the process, including information and assistance, referrals to appropriate services and resources, and ongoing advocacy when needed.
