The Scott County Children’s Advocacy Center provides a safe, child-friendly setting for children and families involved in child abuse investigations.

Children and families from Scott County receive CAC services at nearby interview locations in Jacksonville or Pittsfield, based on the needs of the child, family, and Multidisciplinary Team. Both locations provide a private and supportive environment for forensic interviews and are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

CAC staff work alongside law enforcement, child protection, prosecutors, medical and mental health professionals, victim advocates, and other community partners to provide a coordinated response to allegations of child abuse.

Families receive support throughout the process, including information and assistance, referrals to appropriate services and resources, and ongoing advocacy when needed.
